Please note: the lights in the book are LED lights which operate based on a sensor located on each page. The sensor may appear to be a light that does not work, but it is not. Additionally, the lights do not have a 'twinkling' effect - they do shine beautifully on each page. There also cannot be an obstruction of light over the sensor location. Existing reviews So pretty! The twinkly book is so pretty!!! I can’t wait till Christmas time! I’ll try to save this until Thanksgiving weekend. There are pretty lights and a sensor on every page. The lights stay on solidly until the sensor is covered (page turned, book closed) or 5 minutes, whichever comes first. It’s a smart book!!! But even more than smart, it’s just so pretty! I find it works best with natural light although with plenty of artificial light, it works great as well. My 3 year old and 1 year old love watching the lights and it is such a sweet story.
